Smarty: Leona’s next single will more than likely be a power ballad and there are DEFINITELY some ballads on the album as Leona said so herself.
I personally think the song is amazing and mid-tempo is the perfect choice for the first album single! :)

Na. I liked it, first play I thought, o….k but a bit old school. Second play liked it more, can see it will grow on people with radio play. As long as there’s some more modern vibe on there too I’ll be happy anyway!

i love the chorus. im not sure if it will sound good live though (not because i dont think she can sing it, just because a lot of the reason i like the song is the way they make her voice sound in the background)

This girl is awesome… the voice makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Lets hope Simon Cowell’s mob don’t screw this up and kill her off with crappy pop songs. I think she is too big for him, he is way out of his depth. He should stick to the likes of Shane Ward etc. (That reminds me what happened to Shane? Oh yes I remember… he was s**t).

I wish she had done something a bit more RnB-ish as that is what she was doing really well before the X Factor. Once again Simon Cowell and the “establishment” have pushed her into doing MOR ballads. What a shame. I downloaded some of her original self-penned tunes and they are far superior. I will still buy it because I love her and her voice, but I am disappointed.

Well the past week has been really busy for me - my first photoshoot came out in Harpers Bazaar and my new single played for the first time on Radio!
I loved the Harpers Bazaar shoot - i had so much fun being creative with different looks and i was so excited to see it in the magazine, thanks to all at Harpers Bazaar for making it happen, it really was a dream shoot! Lucy and Alison its a pleasure working with you truly!
Sunday was such an amazing day cus i heard my single ‘Bleeding Love’
on the radio for the first time! It was incredible, i was at home with my family listening - it was very emotional. I’ve grown up listening to Radio One so to hear them playing it exclusively was crazy!!!

- i’ve been reading some of your thoughts on my forum - so pleased to hear you’re liking it a much as me!
I had so much fun making that record with Ryan Tedder in LA. Hes such a talented producer and lovely guy. He also worked on another track on my album called ‘Take A Bow’
which is one of my favourites.
This week im rehearsing for my launch event which is next week. Ive been working with Yvie again (the vocal coach from the XFactor) so nice to see her as I have’nt seen her since the xfactor tour - im really nervous but so very excited at the same time to perform for an audience again!
Anyway ill write again soon, thanks again for all your continued support, means so much to be able to do what i love!!

Hmm…the first time i listened to it i didn’t really like it, but i listened to it again and it grew on me, the third and fourth time i loved it, now i can’t stop listening to it! It sounds like something Whitney Housten did 10 years ago, but with Leona’s amazing touch, i love it.

Oh and i forgot to say that i am so very pleased that her album isn’t just full of covers like the other x factor winners. She took her time and now it’s amazing. All the others brought out an album like a month after winning and it was full of bad covers, but Leona has her own songs, great songs. Definitely a sign that she is gonna be huge!

Undoubtedly a hugely talented musician, but, sadly this song doesnt do her credit. Dont like the annoying dustbin lid percussion, the yodel effect is good once in a while but it is overdone here. Leona, you have a fabulous voice - please dont let them put you into a stylised straightjacket which diminishes you. Be naturally you - like your hair - let it curl girl and dont forget yourself.

Well i really like Leona and think her voice is amazing, but this song isn’t exactly an anthem that we will be singing for years is it. I think the music is too much in the background its better when the music fades out and she sings on her own.

Terrible backing noise, but Leona has such a fantastic voice that the plastic music boys cannot ruin it. I keep listening to it and my brain is gradually just hearing her sing and forgetting the rubbish in the background. As usual record execs. hang your heads in shame. The song itself doesn’t seem anything special, but the voice certainly is. Probably a good choice to try to establish the voice as the selling point without the song getting in the way. Was it Simon Cowell who said, “Give the girl a telephone directory to sing, and she could make it sound amazing!” This should be an easy top-10 hit - I’ll reserve judgement on #1 until I see what it’s up against, though, but I’d certainly put a bet on it reaching the top spot!

Leona has a fantastic voice but I am dissapointed as I feel that her voice is too big for the song, also her diction is not sharp enough to allow for interpretation of the song so some words result in a kind of slight yodle. Nevertheless there is no doubt that she is going to be huge but she has to watch her choice of songs. Also I felt that the backing track could have been a lot better it sounds a little wooden.

Leona is a superb dimantic singer. I picked her to be the winner from the start of the x factor audition and supported her thru all the way. When she cries, I also cry, she is such a sincere person. I’v never missed an episode of X Factor. You are the best constant ever and I’m most certian, you will be around for a very long time. Mairah Carey’s my No. 1 singer and I have now added you along side with her. Bleeding Love’s breath taking as I’m sure the album will be too (can’t wait). The tune is catchy and it was rather different to what it was expecting. The vocals are a bit throaty. Its like she is singing on her throat and it is not to my taste. However, I still want to hear the other songs on her album. Isn’t one of Leona’s strength her versatility and range?

May not appeal to everyone, but what does? I love it, I love her, and I am so glad something this good, and who’s going to be bigger than all the rest is British. I can see big things for her, she can do any kind of music, I think R&B and Ballads are probs her best, I’d love her to do some work with someone like Timberland, his beats and her voice would be amazing!!!

hi, i think it is a really great song. just a bit conserned for the young children this day and age, especially teenagers!!! who are in to self harm or who have concidered it.

Leona can sing in tune and has lots of talent. I have played Bleeding love lots. I still think its throaty and don’t like it. Its exaggerated all the qualities of her voice that I don’t like. In my humble opinion not as nice as her X-factor stuff where she sang remarkably well.

Hairs on the back of my neck, stand on end everytime I hear Leona sing this amazing song. Not many artists do that to me, but her voice is haunting and pure at the same time. Fantastic!

i love your new ong and i have been waiting ever since you won the x-factor to here you sing again. it is a really popular ong thi weeki have heared it bout 6 times and it is only tueday. at work we sing along to it on the radio and we alway request it.
