A number of top US movie studios are reportedly bidding for three of Leona’s songs, including her hit “Bleeding Love.” It is thought that bosses could turn it into a theme song as big as Whitney Houston’s 1992 smash I Will Always Love You from the movie The Bodyguard. A source is quoted as saying in a newspaper: “A number of huge offers are on the table for Leona’s songs. The bids for Bleeding Love are staggering. They’re into seven figures.
“The offers are for major blockbusters - some just around the corner. It could turn the song into the biggest hit this decade - like a new I Will Always Love You.” It comes as the singer marked her big break in the US by becoming the first British female to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart in more than 20 years.
