X Factor winner Leona Lewis has told mentor Simon Cowell that she doesn’t want to move to the US. The 21-year-old singer had been expected to base herself in the States as part of a long-term plan to launch an international career - but decided against the move after buying a new home in the UK with partner Lou Al-Chamaa. Lou’s mother Anna told the Daily Star Sunday: “Everything is going really well for Leona - and Lou is right by her side. They have just moved in together. “Obviously there were concerns about how things would work out for them if Leona moved to America. But after a number of heart-to-hearts Leona decided she didn’t want to go. Lou has always been right behind Leona - and will support her every decision. They’re both incredibly happy.” |

Well done to Leona, it is the British viewers that have catapulted her career, and we do not want to loose this talent to the U.S, evidently money isn’t everything to Leona, I am extemely glad that she has decided not to move to the U.S.

I’m proud of Leona. Why do we have to lose very artist to the Americans? Stay here in the UK around real people who have your back. America is full of money hungry fakes. they’ll eat her alive and spit out the bones like what they did to Britney. I would have suggested that she work on her image for a year in the UK before breaking into America.

Leona probably needed to have brought out a cd from these shores first before USA to add to her X-factor success here. It has been a while and people might wonder what has happened to her - possibly a missed opportunity. Needs air time soon, but I suppose she has the voice anyway, but…
