 Leona graces the cover of Blender magazine’s July 2008 issue. Lewis, 23, is proud of her image and insists she’ll let her music speak for her. “I don’t wear little miniskirts and low-cut tops,” says Lewis. “If you want to show your bits off, it’s up to you.”
Lewis also says she’s not a big drinker. “When I was 18, I had a few glasses of Alcopop — they’re bubblegummy drinks with a bit of alcohol — and it was gross,” says Lewis. “I’ve tasted champagne, which is gross, and I tasted wine, which I don’t like.” Source: theimproper.com |

She’s trying to imply just what she said. What did her comment have to do with Mariah Carey? Geez, it’s like everyone is paranoid with Mariah thoughts.

Just go on YouTube and search for Mariah Carey Bye Bye live at GMA and you will see. It’s so embarrassing. Also look for Touch My Body Live at GMA and you will see how she uses a back up track and how she did not manage to sync her voice with the vocals on the track. Not only she can not sing live properly anymore, I mean the end of Bye Bye sounds as if she is gonna faint from tiredness not to mention poor quality and technique, but she can not sync her own voice with the song nor she can sing in tune sometimes, she is out of the limits. It’s so heart breaking ;(
She needs rest because her voice can’t take singing one live song fully, she is tired in the low register, medium register and gets some notes wrongly and in the high register she flops sometimes, her voice becoming this hoarse thing that has very few self control. Mariah does not deserve these embarrassing moments, she had one of the greatest voices, it’s heart breaking to see her like this.

I am sorry but I get fed up of people bashing Mariah every minute. Mariah has been around for years, she has a much better voice than Leona. Maybe her voice is cracking a bit now but shes been doing this for years. You want to compare the two then compare Leona to Mariah at the beginning and there is no lie there that Mariah was and still is much better than Leona.
When and if Leona had acheived as much as Mariah has, then you can compare.
And, regardless of how Mariah may dress, she still does alot for charity aswell as has her own charities and summer camps set up in America so saying shes a bad person cos of how she dresses is just ridiculous.
Leona is new to the game, we’ll see how long she keeps to her words and correct me if Im wrong, but have we not seen Leona in lots of low cut tops and dresses already? Or am I imagining things. As for mini skirts….well she covered up on the beach when she was on holiday so it seems Miss Lewis has something to hide…like some off-key pasty fat thighs most probably as her legs do look very thick.

Good than, because I wasn’t comparing. :) Also I do not care how Mariah dresses, she is gorgeous right now, I love her new body, as I was saying it doesn’t matter to me how she dresses :) About Leona’s thick legs, correct me if I am wrong but wasn’t Mariah fat for years? It doesn’t matter how fat Mariah’s waist was or how thick Leona’s legs are, all I care about is how they sing and that should be the case for everyone. I also do not want to compare anybody. They are two different people, each has it’s own beauty and that’s that. All I said is that Mariah once was how Leona is now: elegant, really beautiful and a natural beauty, with a voice that could move the mountains, I do not think that Mariah is on the right track now. It seems a loss, a loss of who she was.
I am sick and tired of people who come everywhere and say: ” Leona will never be Mariah! ” Of course not, she doesn’t want to be M, she has to be herself, she will have a huge career, filled with joy and achievement, she is a great talent and a lovely person, she doesn’t have to be compared to anybody and I said all that about MC because it is what I believe, regardless of Leona and other great voices, it is what I believe of MC now, it is only about her.
As hershe said: Mariah is the pop music’s biggest diva ( by career longevity and sales and surely because of the way she acts, I mean she is the biggest “diva” ) but I don’t think she was pop music’s biggest female voice, if I have to say I believe Whitney Houston is. It’s amazing for Mariah that she lasted this long but you know, you have to step out in glory, so that people remember you that way, not when you hit the ground with the most important thing, your voice. So many people see what Mariah’s voice became, I think it is sad that Mariah will be remembered as the biggest selling female artist of all time who unfortunately lost her voice and got to the point of letting everyone know how damaged her voice is by trying to perform live :(
I just wish she would know when to stop, I surely hope Leona will be much wiser. Stop when you’re way up high, not when you sunk already.
Anyways I will always love Mariah’s songs, she has very powerful songs, I know them all, my favorites are Never Too Far, Hero of course, Vanishing, Reflections, There For Me, Anytime You Need A Friend is brilliant, Boy I Need You, Dreamlover, Loverboy and Heartbreaker are so much fun! Other great songs: Can’t Let Go, Emotions, Don’t Stop, Hero, I love her entire Christmas album and from all the stars that sing Oh, Holy Night her version is the best for me, Love Takes Time is cool, Make It Happen, One Sweet Day, Through The Rain, When You Believe, With You I’m Born Again with John Legend and so many more.
Mariah wrote, sang beautiful songs, I for one like the movie Glitter and she is very talented but the fact is that she cannot sing anymore like she used to, when she got out The Emancipation she was amazing, even if her voice showed hoarse parts, now with E=MC square she shows a more damaged voice and I think the next album if there will be a next will be a catastrophe in terms of singing the songs live.

Omg we’re not talking about mariah. Does this look like a mariah fan site? I dont think so. Leona’s an amazing vocalist and so is mariah. mariah lost her voice from her frequent and noted whistle register and a rumored smoking habit. shes not an amazing singer anymore but mariah was deffinetly better when she was younger
