Leona Lewis has admitted she finds skinny dipping “liberating”.
Leona says she and her friends once stripped off and jumped into a swimming pool during a holiday to Portugal in order to cheer up one of their other pals.
She said: “I was with some girlfriends in Portugal. One of my friends was going through a hard time with her boyfriend, so we thought let’s do something crazy. It was liberating.”
Leona – who has been dating electrician Lou Al-Chamaa for five years – also hinted she may be tempted to follow in Madonna’s footsteps and release an explicit tome, after taking inspiration from the 51-year-old singer’s famous Sex book.
She said: “I have always loved Madonna. I was too young for her Sex book period, but then when I saw it I thought, ‘Wow!’ Good for her, if that’s how she wanted to express herself. Would I express myself like that? Well, you never know…”
While she admires Madonna, Leona says there’s one celebrity who has been very rude to her in the past but she refused to name them.
She told Britain’s OK! magazine: “They were a monster to me. It was someone who I really looked up to, someone who inspired me. They didn’t insult me, it was just the whole attitude they had. I didn’t like it. And you know what? They were like it twice. The first time I was upset, the second time I was like, I’m so much bigger than that.”

thats exactly what i thought..when i first read this article, mariah carey’s name came to mind. leona has always looked up to her, and thats too bad that people have to feel threatened with other talented newcoming artists. when a reporter asked mariah if “leona was the new mariah”…she said something like everyone is always compares me to other artists…but the way she said it was snobby and she was bothered by that question. if you ask me leona blows mariah out of the water…mariah doesnt like the fact that leona is better then her, and i can see mariah being a “monster” to leona…what a b**ch
Mariah also the first name i came cross but then i also recall in one of the news where leona was introduced to Whitney and the reporter said stuff like, Whitney looks kinda annoy with Leona because people also said stuff like, Leona gonna replace Whitney.
well leonas met whitney and they have photos together looking relatively happy … and whitney also called leona a baby her … so I doubt it was whitney … im guessing it was mariah too .. as shes had the same problems with many other singers too Mariah was the same with Christina aguilera …

Leona has such great talent. And I admire her for being simple. Even though she’s already a celebrity, she remained humble.
Mariah has every right to be like that to celebrities like Leona and Christina. They get in the music biz and get so much praise for their “big voice”…and then get compared to a mega star like Mariah.
Leona can sing, but Mariah knows as soon people start telling singers like Leona and Christina that they could be the new Mariah or Whitney, they let it go to their heads.
I would feel threatened too if the press was trying to “replace” me with someone new if I was a mega star – i would feel insulted if they did something like that after being so successful. AND mariah carey is still relevant in the music biz.
