It seems that Leona is already doing very well in the US, which is very unusual for a UK singer!, so much so that Ellen Degeneres has invited Leona onto her show.

Leona’s mentor, Simon Cowell predicted early on in the competition that Leona would do well in the States, on Saturday’s show, fresh from a trip to LA, Cowell said: “I’ve been there and everyone is buzzing about you it’s unbelievable.”

It is hoped that appearing on the Ellen show will increase Leona’s profile on the other side of the pond and will help her long term career plans.

An insider told the Sun: “It’s a massive boost for Leona because Ellen’s show is huge in America and you have to be pretty special to get on.

“They have been checking her out each week on the show because there’s been a real buzz around her out there. They made contact and invited her to come and be a guest.”

Lets hope that she accepts and make an appearance!, it would be a huge boost and a great start to the US market.

Edit: Unfortunately, Leona has declined the invite due to her hectic X Factor schedule.

   I’m so glad to hear Leona’s appearing on The Ellen show!! Ms. Degeneres talk show is an Emmy Award winning hour of fun and has quite a lot of faithful viewers. I can’t wait to see Leona on there today!! (only 2 hours to wait!:)
