Leona Lewis has admitted she used to pretend to be Spice Girl Mel B when she was young.

Leona, 22, idolised the Spice Girls and even bought platform shoes to look like her heroines.

‘In school we used to pretend to be them,’ Leona reveals.

‘I’d be Mel B, my friend would be Emma and so on. We’d all sit down and study the videos, co-ordinating the moves to what they were doing.’

Wannabe was the first single Leona ever bought and she’s desperate to see Posh, Geri, Baby and the two Mels perform on stage.

”I’d love to catch them live, but I think they’ve all sold out so only if I can get myself a ticket,’ she tells The Observer Music Monthly.

‘I’d definitely be down the front having a little dance if I can get in.’
