Leona Lewis, who’s currently Number One in the UK charts with her latest single ‘Bleeding Love’ is now set to go head-to-head with the newly reunited Spice Girls in next week’s album chart. Leona’s new album ‘Spirit’ is up against the the Spice Girls’ Greatest Hits next week. And, according to reports, 22-year-old Leona has already been tipped to beat the fabulous five - as she is already outselling them by six-to-one in pre-sales. ‘The Spice Girls may have a fanatical following but even they can’t derail that juggernaut that’s Leona Lewis,’ says a source.
‘The amazing sales of her single Bleeding Love only served to ramp up enthusiasm for her album. Leona is well out in front.’ And Leona is also predicted to be this year’s Christmas Number One. ‘Leona looks like the safest bet for the big seller this Christmas but it is still going to be a massive festive season for the Spice Girls,’ the source added to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper. Too many ballads on the album,no variety. There is so many avenues she could have gone for. Afterall she has an excellent voice.
