Leona can’t TOUCH Mariah, she’s merely the winner of a television show while Mariah is a living legend. I don’t think Leona can come close to Mariah, or any other singer from that time even within the next 15 years. It’s a fact, and Leona lovers just need to accept that. Mariah’s a diva, and she deserves everything she’s accomplished in her career. And Mariah’s got the most unique voice that no one can compare to, Leona has NO originality.

I’m sorry, but there’s no comparison.

I think Leona has a beautiful voice and I like her choice of music and her whole style. BUT, her whole career is modeled after classic Mariah’s. It’s like just walking into Mariah’s career. If I were Mariah, I’d backtrack just a little, careerwise, and take it back.

I think Mariah Carey is the best singer in the world.Mariah is right leona cannot sing.I heard leona’s new song this morning and heard only squeaks!I’m Mariahs biggest fan in the world and she can never be compared to.

Whatever it is, I don’t care. I just love the way Mariah is and how Leona is. They’re both good in what they’re doing and I think that comparing these two talented people is nothing but a waste of time.

They have their own horizon and I wish that the media would just not get into that place. They’re not harassing the media and so, they should leave them alone.

That’s what’s wrong with some people today. They focus on nonsense and forget about the more important stuff like the SportRelief that Leona’s in now.

Ive seen the interview and Mariah was not being arrogant. It seems it has been published that way on this website to make her look bad and put Leona on more of a pedestal. At the end of the day, Leona sounds nothing like Mariah. Mariah is a legend and Im sure she had heard people sound like her more than once and I beleive she has earned the right to say what she said. As for someone saying Mariah is hype, I dont think having 18#1′s is hype! More like Leona is all hype. Leona is a great singer but way too hyped up, so we’ll see if she has the same longetivity as Mariah aswell as whether she keeps her ‘sweet’ personality if she stays around just as long. Mariah had the same personality in the beginning but the longer you are in the business, the more ou will change its just life and sometimes people like Mariah earn that diva status. Mariah has been writing great songs and performing great songs for years and for people to slate her and claim Leona is better than her really annoys me. When Leona has been in the industry as long as Mariah has, then ya’ll can talk!

I like Mariah but she needs to start singing live to gain her vocal credibility back. Leona never fails to deliver when she performs live and she hits those high notes beautifully! But above all, Leona has and shows so much humility and unawareness of her talent. I’m not sure I could say the same for Miss Carey who also needs to start writing better material instead of coming up with recycled ‘touch my body’ stuff just to have longetivity and attention from fans.

Well my outlook is the people who trash Mariah are jealous of how beautiful and great she is as a singer! Leona is great also. Why trash Mariah because a new singer has come out???? Mariah has been around for a very long time with number ones forever!! If you want to compare wait and see what happens with Leona in a few years!!!
