A huge congratulations are in order for Leona!, she truly has achieved her dream of breaking America, by topping the US singles chart with Bleeding Love!

Leona released bleeding love in the US six weeks ago and with the promotional help of shows such as Oprah and The Tonight Show have helped her to the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and pushing Usher and Young Jeezy to second place.

Leona has become the fist British woman to reach the number one spot of the US charts for more than 20 years.

Leona said it was her “dream” to break America, and says “I’m so excited to be able to spend some time in the US and showcase my music to everyone here,” “Its been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and I can’t wait.”

‘Bleeding Love’ has already reached number one in more than 25 countries worldwide, including France, , Germany, Ireland, Australia and the UK.

Simon has lived up to his words when he said “We’ll do everything in our power to make her an international star.”

    leona is pimpin the US! go leona gooooo its amazing. i called into kiisFM to request (ryan seacrest station in LA) and every time i request they play it! and one time the request line person was like omg i love that song! hahaha yay leona. U ROCK!!!!!! hope i can see you one day

    i have been a fan of urs since.. when u came on stage with the audience

    I have literally jus come of utube after veiwing (again- me and my sister used to hav them on b4 we got ur album!) ‘over the rainbow’.
    now i dont know much bout music but my skin does!! it Always goes goosebumpy, and the last note of that song makes me well with tears
