Now, to celebrate her stellar rise and HELLO’s 1000th edition, Leona Lewis is sharing her amazing experiences exclusively with the magazine.
The green-eyed beauty is the perfect cover girl for HELLO!’s landmark 1000th issue, which comes with a free, silver-mounted freshwater pearl pendant. And the timing of the shoot to accompany the exclusive interview couldn’t have been better - it was almost 1000 days ago that Leona, then a struggling unknown, won her last talent competition before finding fame on The X Factor.
Leona Lewis takes to the streets of New York to film the music video for a remix of her hit ‘Bleeding Love’.
I hope the remix isn’t too hippity hoppy! Most UK artists seem to have to change their songs so they’re more hip hop, if they want to make it big in America. Both Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse had rappers in the US version of their hit singles. It ruins the songs!
Leona flies off to the States today to mark the beginning of her global domination campaign! She’ll be in New York for a week to chat to American press and do some hot new photo shoots and who knows, she might be able to do a bit of Christmas shopping while she’s out there.
Leona will then fly to Stockholm, Sweden, for a special showcase where she will perform five songs from Spirit to a select audience of VIPs and taste makers.

Leona Lewis has conquered the UK and it looks like she’s going to be huge in the US too.
There are thousands of pre-orders for her album Spirit in America - and the US version is not even released until March.
It’s hardly surprising when you think about the mega-moguls she’s surrounded by.
The Americans can’t get enough of her mentor Simon Cowell and she’s also been working with music svengali Clive Davis, one of the most powerful men in the music industry.
Leona Lewis remains the dominant force on the UK charts yet again tonight (December 2) as she holds onto the Number One single and album spot. The single ‘Bleeding Love’ remains at the top of the UK charts for a sixth week.
Amazing! Lets hope the US charts will look the same once Spirit is released in The States in March 2008.
