Hi everybody,
As promised, here’s a longer blog. Hope you’ve had a happy New Year! I’m so excited about this year as I’m finally getting to work on my new album. I’m in the studio right now with some fantastic songwriters and producers and I’m so enjoying getting creative and experimenting with new sounds and songs!

T-Mobile’s “2009 Grammy Celebration Tour” has announced most of its headliners, including Leona Lewis (April 9 at the Hollywood Palladium), Katy Perry (May 13 at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami) and LL Cool J (May 28 at Terminal 5 in New York City). The bills for Boston (April 28 at the House of Blues) and San Francisco (April 14 at the Warfield) haven’t been confirmed yet.
Select T-Mobile locations will offer a limited number of giveaway tickets to each event. Aside from that, the company’s Sidekick phone will support the tour through an extensive marketing campaign and tie-ins at Sidekick.com.

Although Leona was snubbed by the Brit Awards people (tsk tsk), she is up for one award (due to it being based solely on record sales). She’s up for Best British Single for “Better in Time” and you can vote for her HERE.
Hopefully Leona wins at the 2009 Grammy Awards TONIGHT at 8pm on CBS [US]. The show airs tomorrow night (Monday) at 9pm on ITV1 here in the UK.

Leona Lewis has been spending her time lately holed up in a studio, working hard on her sophomore release.
But it might be tough for her to concentrate on future music when her first album remains the subject of so much celebration.
As much as the 23-year-old has enjoyed her incredible year, she’s looking forward to doing even more with her next CD: “I try to mix the best of both worlds and just kind of create my own sound.”
