The rest may be dropping like flies but one X Factor champ still doing the business is Leona Lewis.
The superstar singer, 26, is the only artist currently booked to perform on both the UK and US versions of the talent show.
“Leona embodies all that Simon Cowell wanted when he launched The X Factor. She is a success here as well being an international superstar, so with a new album coming out it makes perfect sense for her to show her talent on both sides of the pond. At present, Leona is the only person signed up to appear on both the US and UK series – it’s a truly massive honour.”

Leona and her record label – Simon Cowell’s Syco – have agreed to work with a 22-year-old Swedish DJ after settling a legal dispute over The X Factor winner’s forthcoming single, Collide.
The up-and-coming dance producer, Avicii, last week attempted to block the release of Lewis’s single claiming that the instrumental was a direct copy of his own song, Fade Into Darkness.
Syco is understood to have reached an 11th-hour agreement with Avicii’s record label, Ministry of Sound, over the single, meaning that it will be released as planned on 4 September.

Leona Lewis’ new single Collide could be delayed as the singer faces a court battle over ownership rights.
Lewis wanted to release the single on September 4 but could be facing a court injunction from Swedish dance producer Avicii.
Avicii, whose real name is Tim Bergling, claims Collide copies his track ‘Fade into Darkness’.
The row centres on copies of the track Avicci sent to record companies but were returned. One of them was Collide.
A spokesperson for Avicii’s label, Minstry of Sound, said: “Avicii is an up-and-coming talent who we think should be given a fair crack at making this record the hit it deserves to be.”

As previously reported, R&B diva Brandy is just one on a growing list of singers set to mentor on the upcoming reality talent show ‘Majors & Minors’. Now, reports have surfaced that list will include chart-toppers Leona Lewis, Sean Kingston, and Avril Lavigne. The announcement joins previous reports that indicated pop singers Adam Lambert and Colbie Caillat were already tapped to advise on the new talent show.
The show’s concept is based on ‘Majors’ (established acts) acting as mentors for ‘Minors’ (contestants aged 8-16) on their quest for musical stardom. The brainchild of songwriter Evan Bogart (who boasts Beyonce’s ‘Halo’ and Rihanna’s ‘SOS’ to his credits), the show is set to debut September 23, 2011.
