 Simon Cowell is apparently worried that his prodigy Leona Lewis will be knocked off the No 1 spot this week by the same man who penned her tune Bleeding Love.
Ryan Tedder, 28 - the man behind Leona’s hit - is also the frontman of OneRepublic, whose song Apologize, with Timbaland, is No 4 in the charts, reports the Daily Star.
He said: “I met up with Simon at the weekend. He told me the one song he was nervous about was Apologize. He said that if Leona loses No 1 to anyone, it’ll be to us and that he’s watching the situation carefully.”
The singer added: “It’s quite weird being in competition with yourself in the charts. But I still hope that if anyone knocks her off, it’s us!”
Ryan, who’s known for more rocky tunes with OneRepublic, said he had to write for Leona when he first heard her sing.

Leona said she was delighted that Disney have created an ‘animated portrait’ of her in celebration of their latest film, ‘Enchanted’.
“What little girl doesn’t dream of that? When I was little it was something I dreamt of, wished for. I think every girl does,” said Leona to Heart FM.
“Being a fairytale princess - having that big dress and finding your Prince Charming - who doesn’t want that? I can’t wait to see the film, I haven’t seen it yet but it’s the first thing I’m going to do after turning on the lights. I’m so excited. I can’t wait.”

Leona Lewis has denied reports she is engaged to long-term boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa. Leona has been spotted wearing a ring on her left hand, sparking speculation that her electrician partner had proposed. But while the 22-year-old insists he has yet to ask for her hand in marriage, she admits Al-Chamaa is the man she eventually wants to settle down with.
She says, “No, I’m not engaged. I’m wearing a commitment ring and it’s been the cause of so much talk! “I hope to (wed Al-Chamaa). Every girl wants to get married one day. But that’s in the future and I’ve got so much going on.”

Leona has reportedly moved out of her flat due to masses of obsessive fans.
However, Leona, 22 - born in Islingston in London has vowed not to leave her beloved Hackney, East London, for somewhere more glam.
She told a friend “I love my flat but people have found out where I live and it’s getting crazy.
“I’m not leaving the area I love though. I love the familiarity here.â€

Leona Lewis has revealed she can understand Simon Cowell’s sex-appeal - but, at 48, is to old for her.
She said: “Simon’s great. We have a bond. I get that people find him attractive because he’s very charming, and it’s probably the power thing. He’s got a lot of power, so I can see it. But his girlfriend Terri would beat me up if I went there!
“I’m 22 and he’s a bit on the older side. He’s like my dad, like a father figure to me.â€
Leona also revealed she isn’t worried about her new success spoiling her relationship with her boyfriend Lou.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Victoria Beckham asked rising British singer Leona Lewis if they can borrow her clothes.
Parker was so impressed by the X Factor winner’s fashion shoot in Harpers Bazaar magazine, she asked to wear the Vivienne Westwood in the upcoming Sex & the City movie.
Lewis says: “I wore a fabulous Vivienne Westwood dress for part of the shoot and it’s actually the one Sarah Jessica Parker is wearing for her Sex and the City wedding.”
