It doesn’t sound like Leona Lewis is mixing it up too much for the video to go with new dance track Collide.
The star’s people have been casting for the shoot on a beach in LA this week and wannabes are told: “This music video will be a beautiful cinematic piece that will showcase the natural beauty of Leona Lewis. It will be inviting, sexy, and organic.
“It will be a moving fashion spread. It’s about finding the beauty in the subtleties of life. We are looking for beautiful men and women to help set the tone for this video. These people need to match Leona’s vibe and need to be able to have fun.
Leona Lewis has cleared up recent allegations she plagiarised her song Collide from a new dance DJ, insisting the up-and-coming club star will get a split of the single’s publishing rights.
She debuted her new dance-themed tune last week, prompting bosses at Ministry of Sound Records to claim the song is a rip-off of young producer DJ Avicii’s instrumental club track, Penguin.
Bosses at the Ministry of Sound allegedly fired off a letter to Lewis’ label chiefs at Simon Cowell’s Syco imprint, ordering them to pull Collide from the radio.
It’s here!! Listen to Leona’s brand new single Collide below! Lyrics are below the video, although only the chorus has been confirmed as 100% correct so far.
I’ll pick you up when you’re down
Be there when no one’s around
When you’re in unfamiliar places
Count on me through life’s changes
I’m in tune with how you feel
Everything bout this is real
When you’re in unfamiliar places
Count on me through life’s changes
You’re all I want, yeah yeah
I know you’re the one, yeah
You’re all I want, yeah
I know you’re the one, yeah
Crash into me
At full speed
Crash into me
We can collide, we can collide
Crash into me
At full speed
We can collide, we can collide
We can collide, we can collide
Crash into me

We can collide, we can collide
We can collide, we can collide
When you’re in unfamiliar places
Count on me through life’s changes
Know that you’re never alone
In me you can find a home
When you’re in unfamiliar places
Count on me through life’s changes
You’re all I want, yeah (yeah)
You’re all I want (oh), yeah (yeah yeah)
You’re all I want, yeah (you are the one)
I know you’re the one, yeah (you are)
Crash into me
At full speed
We can collide, we can collide
We can collide, we can collide
Crash into me
We can collide, we can collide
We can collide, we can collide
We can collide, we can collide
We can collide, we can collide
Leona Lewis has announced that her new single Collide will premiere on radio tomorrow.
The 26-year-old will release the Autumn Rowe-written track as the lead single from her third album, which the ‘Happy’ singer had previously hinted would be released later in the year.
“So excited to let u know to tune into Scott Mills show on Radio One tomorrow for the worldwide exclusive play of my summer single ‘Collide’ (sic)” Lewis told followers on Twitter.
Rowe – who wrote Alexis Jordan’s ‘Good Girl’ and Cher Lloyd’s ‘Swagger Jagger’ – tweeted: “#Collide Leona sounds AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG.”
Leona Lewis has revealed that she is “really happy” with her new German dancer boyfriend Dennis Jauch.
Leona said that she had enjoyed showing Jauch some glimpses of her hometown of Hackney, east London.
She also added that the pair have been having “a lot of fun” together.
“I’m really happy with my new boyfriend,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling Reveal magazine.
“He’s been staying with me in Hackney and he’s met all my family. I still have my flat here, so when I’m not working I’m back home near my mum and dad.
“My mum always says she just wants me to be happy and I really am at the moment. We’re having a lot of fun,” she added.
Leona Lewis fans can expect something a little different from the former X Factor winner’s third album – she claims to have been influenced by the melancholic lyrics of Tears For Fears, Kate Bush and Tracy Chapman.
Promising an emotional record, the singer told Reveal: “I wanted to put my heart into my lyrics. So most of my new album has a darker tone to it. It’s not just about my ex, or any one person, it’s a mix of emotions.”
It wont all be doom and gloom though: “I’m in a really happy place right now, so there are some upbeat tracks, too”, she added.
Leona was asked the describe the record in three words during a web chat with fans on Twitter, and she replied “energetic, deep, unique”.
Leona Lewis is set to be opening up and singing about her split from ex-boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa on her new album. She has reportedly been venting her anger over their split last August in some strong lyrics. A source says: “Leona was with Lou for over ten years and things ended very badly. But what you live through makes you stronger, and Leona’s throwing all her emotion into the music she’s working on. She means business. This album needs to be daring and innovative.”
The singer has co-penned a track called Trouble with songwriter Emeli Sande, and it seems all too evident that the song is about moving on from Lou.
The lyrics say:
“You drink more than you used to, fell in love how could you?
Trust your heart like only fools do, hold on let it bleed.
You smoked 10 now it’s 20, bet you wish you’d never met me.
To stick around you must be crazy, hold on let it bleed.
I told you never to get used to me, I stay awake while you fall asleep.
I’m a whole lot of trouble, we’re in a whole lot of trouble.
You shout louder than you used to, and you hold on tighter in the bedroom.”
Music manager Lou has strong of words of his own. He tweeted last week: “Tired of being walked over… Same s**t has been going on now for over seven months. Silence is no longer golden.”
Despite the drama, one person taking no chances on making the album a runaway success is label boss Simon Cowell. He’s already planning to give Miss Lewis a huge push, booking her to perform on the US version of X Factor ahead of Christmas.
Leona Lewis is one busy lady. In just one day she managed to cram in her InStyle cover shoot, a lunch meeting and a late night recording session. Not only that, she had to be up at 7am the next day to fly out to LA.
However despite her gruelling schedule Leona proved herself to be adorable, good fun and a very dedicated vegetarian.
But she’s not all sweetness and light. ‘I’m very fiery and very passionate,’ she says, and even Simon Cowell has had her say no to him: ‘We don’t argue, we debate,’ she laughed, and she even gave us her verdict on Simon’s new fiancée, Mezhgan Hussainy: ‘She has the Leona Lewis seal of approval’, she confirmed.
Leona Lewis has admitted that she misses her loved ones while she is on tour.
The singer, who regularly travels all over the world to promote her music, said that she often finds it difficult to be away from her family and friends, especially her long-term boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa.
Lewis told Stylist: “I am quite an emotional person and I’m very sensitive to certain issues, but I’ve gained a lot of independence going out on my own because usually I’ve got my very protective family and people around me.
Leona Lewis doesn’t like it when people get drunk to have a good time. She says that unlike others – including her own friends – she doesn’t need alcohol to enjoy herself.
“I find some people’s attitude to drinking ridiculous,” says Leona – who will be performing her first ever headline UK concerts this summer.
