Despite a whopping six nominations over the past three occasions, Leona Lewis has always left the ceremony empty-handed.

She has been given just one nod this time round for Best Female but Leona does not hold out much hope of winning the gong.

“If I had to put money down, mine would be on Lily Allen,” she says.

Leona has revealed that she does not like Valentine’s Day.

The singer, who is dating her childhood sweetheart Lou Al-Chamaa, explained that she tries to show her love for him throughout the year.

“I’m not celebrating Valentine’s Day this year,” she told Now. “You should appreciate each other every day so it always feels like Valentine’s Day.”

Lewis also claimed that she won’t be buying her boyfriend any presents, adding: “And I don’t want anything either!”

Ryan Tedder has blamed Leona Lewis’s absence from the US for the disappointing Stateside performance of her last single.

Leona topped the American charts with her debut offering ‘Bleeding Love’ in March 2008, but ‘Happy’, the lead single from her new album Echo, could only make number 32 when it was released in September.

Tedder, who co-wrote and produced both songs, insisted that the more recent track became the victim of an ill-advised release strategy.
