Leona Lewis was yesterday caught up in a terrifying siege in Los Angeles.
The 24-year-old singer was horrified as thugs waving handguns ran towards her car as they attempted to flee police following a high-speed chase that came to a halt in front of her.
Miss Lewis’s security intervened before the men ran off, however her manager Nicola Carson was not so fortunate as she was thrown to the ground by police during the incident.
The singer was on her way to Los Angeles international airport when her manager stopped at a local Starbucks coffee house to pick up some drinks. However, the police chase came careering into the carpark outside, where Miss Lewis was waiting.

Leona just wrote her first message of 2010 on her official blog. She reveals that she’s doing Radio1 Live Lounge very soon, can’t wait for that! And she also talks about her upcoming tour. Read it all below and after the jump:
Happy New Year to everyone! I hope 2010 brings you all your heart desires!
I managed to grab some time off over Christmas and it was great being with family and friends. I then spent NYE in Vegas, which was so much fun! (I’ve got to say thanks to Amy at Planet Hollywood and Jake at Bank/Yellowtail for taking good care of us!!!) We saw in the New Year with Robin Thicke performing, I’m a huge fan so that was definitely a treat!
While I remember – if you get to go to Vegas anytime soon you must go and see ‘O’, it’s such a mind blowing show! I sat through the whole thing with my mouth wide open! Amazing!

Leona is according to recent reports set to duet with Robbie Williams and Kings Of Leon.
She’s hitting the studio with Williams next week, The Mirror reports. A source told the paper, ‘She loves Robbie and thinks he’s a real laugh – and the love-in is mutual. They’re just going to go in the studio and see what comes out.’
And as if one chart-busting duet wasn’t enough, Lewis also approached Kings of Leon herself, in the hope of teaming up.
‘Leona is incredibly proactive. She knows exactly what she wants and where she’s heading and is thrilled with these developments. The Kings of Leon collaboration came about through Leona herself,’ the source divulged.

Leona Lewis is on crutches after falling from her horse, it was revealed today.
Leona required hospital treatment after suffering suspected torn ligaments in the accident in Los Angeles.
‘Leona was riding the day before New Year’s Eve and fell off when the horse started galloping too fast,’ a source told The Sun.
Despite the injury she was able to continue with her her New Year celebrations and attended a party at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.

Leona has made “quite an impression in Hollywood” and is being primed by Hollywood heavyweight James Cameron as a film star, according to reports.
Leona recorded the theme song for Cameron’s current epic Avatar – and the director is keen to make Leona a big star in the movie business.
“James is well known for casting strong females in his films and he sees that quality in Leona,” revealed a Hollywood insider.
“She has made quite an impression in Hollywood and James is one of a number of people interested in developing her performance skills for film.”
