Leona appeared, with Simon Cowell, on Oprah yesterday. Leona performed “Bleeding Love” and then sat down with Oprah and Simon for a little chat. Check out the video below:
Kate Nash, who won Best British Female at the Brits last month, has lashed out at Leona saying she deserved to win the award (despite talking throughout her songs!).
“Leona seems like a really nice girl. But I think it was really good I won it because I started this myself. I’m not a manufactured, size-zero pop artist who is going to bring out her own perfume and clothes range. There are teenage girls who grow up wanting to kill themselves because they can’t be as pretty as the girls in the magazines. But I’m quite normal, so it’s great.”
I really wish female artists would stop being so catty towards each other.

Leona is one step closer to breaking the states: Her U.S. debut single, “Bleeding Love,” has entered the top 40 of the Billboard charts, zooming up 20 places to No. 21. She’s just five spots below her idol, Mariah Carey.
And not only that, on American iTunes, “Bleeding Love” is at #2 on the iTunes Top 100 and at #1 for The Pop 100. AMAZING!
Leona will be on GMTV tomorrow morning, and today they showed a clip of her in South Africa, where she visited families who are in desperate need of help. An emotional Leona talks about the problems these families are facing and about how we need to come together and help. It’s a really nice, but also sad, video — Head over to GMTV to watch it.
Be sure to watch Sport Relief on Friday 14 March at 7:00pm on BBC1.
Leona performed twice on last night’s Dancing on Ice — below you can watch the amazing “Footprints in The Sand” performance! When I find the other performance I will post it up!
