In pretty much every single interview since starting to promote her new album, Leona has been asked about this year’s X Factor and the contestants. People are always interested to know if she watches and who she thinks is good enough to win. In my opinion, there hasn’t been anyone as good as Leona since she won in 2006. I barely remember the names of the winners since then, let alone the rest of them. And this year is no exception. The few people with talent are voted out and it’s all just a big show. Read what Leona had to say below:
- It’s more of an entertainment show. It’s a TV show and they want their entertainment value. It’s not just about singing really well anymore.
- When I was on the show in 2006, it was only about the singing. We were lucky if we got some good lights. I can’t believe how much it has changed.
- It’s all pantomime, of course. I do feel that when I did it, it was more about the music. Now it’s a whole production – so many people on stage, dancing, special effects going off, all that craziness. It’s definitely changed emphasis.
