Leona Lewis has fell ill once again with tonsillitis and has flown home to London while she recovers. Leona has been over doing it during her long daily hours recording her debut album in LA.

Leona has been working closely with Clive Davis, the man behind the likes of Alicia Keys and Whitney Houston, and is expected to meet a September deadline.

Leona’s Dad, Joe said to newspapers that “She has been overdoing it. The expectations on her are so great,” her dad Joe told the Sunday Mirror. “She’s in the studio every day, late into the night. Now her producers have stopped until her voice gets better.”

Leona is expected to spend a week in London with her family while she recovers.

Leona has been keeping a low profile since her massive first hit, “A Moment Like this” last Christmas. Well, the wait to see her again is almost over! Her second single is produced by US hitmaker “Dallas Austin” and will premier soon on American Idol for millions of Americans.

Simon Cowell and Clive Davis have announced that they will partner together in a first of a kind relationship to supervise over the song and producer selection for Leona Lewis’ hugely anticipated debut CD / album. It has been no secret of Davis’ interest in Leona after he signed her up to J records for $10 million dollars.
Leona will also be the first ever winner of a major television talent shot to receive a major global launch with the release of her CD.

We have heard reports that Leona Lewis is working hard in on her debut album in Atlanta, USA with Joss Stone’s recent collaborator, Dallas Austin. Austin has also worked with TLC and Pink over the years.

We have also heard reports that JC Chasez has been in the studio with Leona this week.

“They’ve been having a great time working together and Leona is really happy with the songs she’s done thus far.”

American Idol judge Randy Jackson has been building her up, saying that he wants to sign her to his record label in the US.

Louis and host Kate have been sacked from the next X Factor and simon speaks about when he considered leaving the show and how Leona was the reason he is staying. Simon: “I was not sure I wanted to carry on as a judge on X Factor. It’s a lot to juggle — making the shows, being on the shows, running a record company and a TV company — so I had to think twice about it.

“I think Leona probably changed my mind. She reminded me why we do these shows, to find talent.”

At a recent Q&A session for fans, held at the Directors Guild of America in Hollywood Randy Jackson (one of the American Idol judges) showed his support for Leona. “I like her, I like her,” he said, and then with an earshot to Simon said “I think Simon’s gonna let me sign her…”

Later Ryan Seacrest asked him: “Do you think she’ll really make it here?”

Randy answered: “I think she’s got a really good shot to make it everywhere.”

Everyone in America seems to be singing her praises, and after she scored her $10 million US contract everything looks great!
