Leona has been keeping a low profile since her massive first hit, “A Moment Like this” last Christmas. Well, the wait to see her again is almost over! Her second single is produced by US hitmaker “Dallas Austin” and will premier soon on American Idol for millions of Americans. Hopefully the Americans like Leona as much as us! We current do not know the name of her second single, when we do, we will let you know. |

It’s supposed to be shown on the semi-final night which is next week. Tue/Wed in America, shown on Friday 18th on ITV2 over here x

I agree she will impress everyone if this does happen. I hope it does, because she was rumoured to perform on the premiere but never did, i think it may have been rescheduled to this semi-final.

I think Leonas a good singer but i find it relli stupid that shes singing it in american beofre here! Hwo voted her da winner of x factor n made her? Us so its greedy to be doing it there first

I am looking forward to seein Leona on American Idol. This year has been disappointing for AI. Leona will mix it up a lot and give others something to reach for. Thanks, England, for your shining star.

I heard that she’d appear on the final of American Idol but since then i saw on the official site forum that its untrue and we won’t hear much new stuff till September time. I’m dying to hear some new music from her. (Hope the music doesn’t become to american rap-ish if you know what i mean.)

You sound stupid. If she releases material as quickly as previous winners then the album will be crap and full of weak songs… cracking the U.S is hard.. so she has to take time at it. your a bad fan if u say tht.

Are yew dissing past winners for bringing out albums too early? September is too long to wait and basically its greedy to be cracking the US first and deserting your fans where yew come from! If it wasnt for us then she wouldnt have won and be recording an album! She needs to remember that

I have been reading a couple of things that claim her new single is called Homeless & that it was this that she performed in Vegas at the recent BMG conference there. I also read that a Swedish ‘Idol’ winner called Darin has a song of this title which happened to be written by the guy who wrote Moment Like This. God, I hope this isn’t true as it’s another morbid ballad. I’m sure she can sing it, she can sing pretty much anything but I am really hoping to hear an R&B album with a majority of up tempo tracks on. This is the kind of music Leona likes so I think she should be allowed to make an album that suits her own taste.
For the record I don’t think September is too long to wait. It will reach the Christmas market which is the only time albums sell in any sort of numbers. No doubt there will be a single July/August to start the ball rolling & raise awareness.
The poor girl has spent the first couple of months preparing for the X Factor tour, then Feb/March/April touring and April/May back & forth between America and UK to write, meet producers and start recording. All this coupled with a bout of illness and her Nan’s funeral… give the girl a break!
