 Leona’s debut album Spirit has debuted at number 1 in America on the Billboard Album chart. #1!!! That’s AMAZING! 204,841 copies were sold last week. This is the first time in music history that a British female artist debuts at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, and it’s the first time ever that a British artist overall has debuted on the chart at #1 with a first album. Simon Cowell described Lewis’s achievement as “incredible”, saying: “This is the hardest market to crack and for her debut album to go in at number one is unbelievable.” Incredible indeed, major congratulations to Leona - what an achievement! |

You are an unbelievabley talented performer. I voted for you every Saturday on X Factor, bought the album as soon as it came out and play it endlessly. HUGE CONGRATULATIONS on FIRST single and then FIRST album to go straight to No1 in the US charts - what success. You are also beautiful inside and outward. Keep the flag flying for British music and never loose your unique quality
