Taio Cruz has been writing songs for Leona Lewis’ second album, but they might end up going to a different singer instead.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Cruz said: “I submitted five songs for Leona’s album, but it looks like Simon Cowell might consider giving them to Shayne Ward instead.”
“I wrote the songs with Leona in mind but they want Shayne to do well, so we’ll have to see where they end up.”
Taio also revealed that the songs he wrote for Leona were all ballads, as he feels this is what she does best.
“I personally think you should play to people’s strengths. Some writers are trying to give her dance tunes. But most people remember Mariah Carey for her big ballads and I think that’s the same for Leona.”
