Leona wrote a message on her official site about Michael Jackson’s sad and tragic death. Read it below:
Michael Jackson was and forever will be one of the greatest influences in music. I don’t know a single person who was not moved in some way by him. I remember him being such an inspiration to me and my family growing up. We’d always have MJ playing or be watching his videos or copying his dance move. It is a great loss to music and my prayers go out to the Jackson family. Thank you for the music Michael you will live on in our hearts forever.
It’s a huge loss on so many levels, he was an icon, a legend and his music will live on forever. RIP MJ!

I have just been to see Leona with my daughter at the 02. I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed it, Leona is looks and sounds beautiful and it made me so happy seeing the excitement on my daughters face -she looked so ‘Happy”.

Hi, I am aware this is perhaps somewhat strange to read, but your blog inspires me to get through my day, when my coworkers are nagging at me all the time Some of my pals told me about it but I didn’t find it for some time, so a few days ago I was so pleased to finally stumble upon it! Me, I don’t do much blogging because I simply don’t have the time however I do admire other people’s work. I just wanted to comment to show my admiration for your posts and I also wanted to say that way too many authors do not get any credit for their craft, credit which is, surely well deserved. Given the subject matter you may not believe me and maybe even doubt that any sane person could like it so much, but I genuinely want you to continue as you began. It’s awesome!
Michael Jackson’s death was a great surprise for anyone who loves the arts in general, although looking back it was perhaps not so surprising. The criminal charges brought upon him caused his health to spiral out of control, both emotional and physical. Once he began to use medicines to simply get by, that was when there came to be no way back, in my humble opinion.
