X Factor star Louis Walsh has claimed that he would not give a recording contract to either of the show’s finalists. The judge, who lost his final act last weekend, has explained that Leona Lewis’s shy nature could hold her back if she wins the competition, while Ray has a better chance of a career in the West End. “Leona hasn’t got a great personality,” Walsh told the News of the World. “She’s very, very shy and very normal. Female stars have to have that X factor, otherwise it can hold them back.” On Ray, Louis added: “He has the likeability factor, the mums are voting for him, but I don’t think he’ll actually sell records. He’ll always work, but I think he’s more likely to be in musicals. “Sharon has said before he reminds her of a panto boy and I have to say I can see it too.” |

Mr. Walsh, it’s all great that you are making all these comments but the fact is that Leona is a real hit that many people enjoy listening too, is a fact. She is what Britain needs at this moment in time. Rnb and hip-hop is a massive over flooded market that’s appealing to the younger generation and Leona is now here for the mid aged and older audience or perhaps the younger generation just needed a younger artist to give us what wasn’t offered before.
This girl is shy yes and this is what makes her more interesting (and special) as Simon Cowell said, I am really fed up with stars that see themselves good. The road to success is never let it get to your head. You guys want this poor angel to start acting like a star and this is where her downfall would start.
Jamelia this is for you, if you think this girl won’t fit in the music industry then think again and try to revise yourself well before speaking publicly. You are looking at your future mentor. You might just learn a thing or two from Leona yourself. The fact that Leona can take any song and sing it well just shows how much this girl is destined on her road to becoming one of the greatest artists in the world. She’s only begun practicing with songs that was given to her; you just wait until she comes out and start showing off what she’s really got. “If I was yo,u I would be her best friend while I still can!”

Lewis could you in the name of God allowed these two young childern to grown up, evryone as a childern learn how to walk befor they start runing. three of you are hosting this programm why is it you are the only one who always dash to the media to put people down as a mature man and as a father figure you should be in the position to assist this God gifted childern. l hope you learn from Simon and Sharon and be a mentor not destroyer

After reading your comments, I had to chuckle. I think it was Simon who made the comment that part of Leona’s appeal was the fact that she did not know how good she was. No she doesn’t act like allot of the diva’s out there. Thank God! Haven’t we had enough of the arrogant, bizzare behavior of the Britney’s and Amy Winehouse’s of this world?
The first time I saw Leona perform, the impression that I had was not only did she have an amazing voice, but she was sweet, humble, and without pretentiousness. What a breath of fresh air! Isn’t she the type of person that we would want our children to look up to and emulate?
I think that you will be proven very wrong in your synopsis, the world needs more performers with the personality and humility of a Leona Lewis.
